Pure Music Collective

Music is even better when you have people to share it with.

Pure Music Collective gives young people a regular place to make music with other people rather than always practising or learning on their own.

Sessions are relaxed and creative. Young musicians can jam, experiment, write songs, try different instruments, explore production and gradually become more comfortable playing with other people.

It isn't about exams, grades or creating the perfect performance. It is about enjoying music, developing confidence and being part of a musical community.

🎤

Play music together

Jam, collaborate and experience what it feels like to make music as part of a group.

🤝

Meet other young musicians

Music gives everyone a natural shared interest and makes meeting new people easier.

🌱

Grow in confidence

Young people can participate at their own pace and become more confident naturally.

🎛️

Explore creativity

Sessions can include instruments, songwriting, jamming, bands and music production.

Who is it for?

For young people who love music — whatever their confidence level.

They don't need to be an advanced musician or an experienced performer. An interest in music and a willingness to explore is enough.

01

They love music but usually play alone.

PMC gives them a regular opportunity to make music alongside other young people.

02

They would benefit from more confidence.

The group is relaxed and supportive, allowing confidence to develop without forcing anyone into the spotlight.

03

They want to meet people with similar interests.

Music provides an easy shared starting point for friendship, conversation and collaboration.

04

They want more opportunities to actually make music.

PMC complements traditional lessons by giving young musicians somewhere to put their skills into practice with other people.

Home education

A creative daytime activity for home-educated young people.

Because PMC runs during the daytime, it can be particularly useful for home-educated children and teenagers looking for regular opportunities to socialise, be creative and make music outside the home.

Home educated — but not home-ed only.

The sessions are open to young people within the relevant age group. The daytime schedule simply means they are especially well suited to home-educated families.

For parents & carers

Supportive enough to feel comfortable. Real enough to feel exciting.

PMC gives young people genuine musical independence while still providing guidance and structure from experienced adults.

💛

Pressure-free

Young people can take their time and join in when they feel ready.

🎸

Equipment available

Instruments and rehearsal equipment are available within the studio.

👥

Age-based groups

Separate junior and teen groups help create a more suitable social dynamic.

🎵

Music first

Creativity, enjoyment and connection matter more than grades or competition.
