Combined Creative Lessons

Write it. Develop it. Produce it.

You don't have to choose between songwriting and production.

Your lessons can combine both, allowing you to take an idea from the earliest stages of lyrics, melodies or chords through arrangement, recording and music production.

That makes combined songwriting and music production lessons ideal for aspiring artists, singer-songwriters, producers and musicians who want to understand the entire creative process.

1
Start with an idea A lyric, melody, riff, chord progression, beat or simply something you want to create.
2
Develop the song Explore structure, harmony, melody, lyrics and arrangement.
3
Build the production Add instruments, textures, sounds and production ideas.
4
Finish your music Develop confidence in turning creative ideas into complete pieces of music.

Your Music, Your Way

You don't need to arrive with a finished song.

Some students arrive with a notebook full of lyrics. Some already play an instrument and want to start writing. Some have been experimenting with production software. Others simply know that they want to create their own music.

All of those are valid starting points.

Your teacher can meet you where you are and help turn the things you're interested in into a practical, achievable creative pathway.

  • Bring unfinished songs and ideas
  • Learn using music that inspires you
  • Explore multiple genres and styles
  • Work at your own creative pace
  • Combine instruments, vocals, writing and production
  • Develop confidence sharing your own work
